We were surprised through homerez who appeared as a third party from Expedia asking for an additional cleaning and towels/linens fee!!$110 full disclosure needed prior to arrival. Also steep walk to town for elders car or taxi needed for late cal town visits. ..And need written instructions on how to use stove, tv etc. Wonderful assistant Bong and owner's very accommodating! Excellent visit and people!

House with a magnificent terrace and paradise garden. Dattilo has 2 rooms that look a bit like caves, so they are a bit dark (very small windows), Other than that, the house is tastefully done and the view is truly unique. 5 minutes by car to Canneto, 5 minutes to the pomice beach and 10 to Lipari. You can reach 2 beaches below the house on foot (10 minutes down for the descent... a bit longer to go back up). The road passes under the house but doesn't disturb. The owner was very kind to help us (luggage at arrival, etc.). We had a wonderful holiday on these islands that we love so much.

Overall we had an excellent stay. The terrace over Canneto is stunning, and makes this property truly unbeatable. The owner and his assistant Bong were incredibly helpful and had lots of useful tips for getting around the island, boat hire, shops, restaurants etc. The only negative was the extra charge for towels and bedding, which is not indicated in the airbnb listing and we were separately asked for this. For reference, it was 15€ pp. I would strongly suggest making this charge clear in the listing.
