If I could give 6 stars for the hosts I

If I could give 6 stars for the hosts I would! The place just as decribed. A little warm at first, but when I told Marisela and Paulo about it, they had an air conditioner for me within 1 hour! They even gave me a ride to and from Santana to hike in the mountains and shared with me local cuisine after! They went completely above and beyond to make sure my stay was great! The space has just about everything you need including utensils and electric stove/microwave. Location is as central as you can get! Not too much elevation so absolutely reccomended for people who dont have a car or do not want to have to hike a mountain to get to their accomodation. There are literally restauraunts and shops directly outside the front door and a supermarket 2 minutes walking. For 1 person this is the perfect affordable private rental in the city cebter and because of the amazing hosts, I am confident I will return and rent again.

I stayed in this place for over two weeks working there a little bit but not only. It is located in the centre of Funchal so you can reach everything in the city on foot. The studio is very nice, perfect for a person travelling alone. WiFi connection is very good and stable. There is also a washing machine in the building. The contact with the host was amazing. Although my flight was delayed, they opened the studio for me in the middle of the night. And when the cooker broke, I got a new one the same day :) It’s quite warm in the apartment but the building is located in the old town so the distances between the buildings are very small so probably air cannot circulate well. It isn’t a disadvantage, it’s rather a consequence of living in the city centre. For me it was totally okay :) Long story short, if you’re traveling alone it’s a perfect place to stay. Highly recommend it!
