As stated in another listing, the agency's commission is exorbitant: the rental is priced at €360 per week by the owner when booked through Les bois de Chelles. The agency, which is not on-site, merely sends a booking confirmation message while the owner welcomes the travellers, manages the maintenance and repairs of the accommodation, even the photos in the listing are from him!!!... Negative points: this was not explicitly stated in the listing and not clearly shown in the photos: there is no bathroom, only a shower cubicle in the hallway, closed with a fabric curtain, which may not be suitable for all families or groups of friends... Strong musty smell in the upstairs toilets, only one washing machine for 13 gîtes. Positive points: quiet location, children's play area in the communal garden for the 13 gîtes, well-equipped accommodation with crockery and appreciated dishwasher, host available to meet needs and provides nearby walking suggestions. In summary: go there but contact the owner directly.

Small functional apartments. The owner is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the Chaise-Dieu region. I recommend it for the peace.
